SSL Certificate Monitoring

SSL monitoring is built into every HTTP monitor. When enabled, WatchCron tracks your certificate's expiry date and sends alerts before it expires.

Configuration

SettingDefaultDescription
Monitor SSLEnabledToggle SSL expiry tracking on/off
Warning threshold14 daysAlert when certificate expires within this many days (1–90)

What gets tracked

  • Subject — the domain the certificate covers
  • Issuer — the Certificate Authority (Let's Encrypt, DigiCert, etc.)
  • Valid from / expires — the certificate validity period
  • Days left — countdown displayed in the monitors list

SSL status is shown inline in the HTTP monitors list as a day count. Expired certificates show in red.

If you use a CDN or load balancer that terminates SSL, make sure you're checking the endpoint that serves your actual certificate — not a CDN edge node that uses its own cert.
