SSL Certificate Monitoring
SSL monitoring is built into every HTTP monitor. When enabled, WatchCron tracks your certificate's expiry date and sends alerts before it expires.
Configuration
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Monitor SSL | Enabled | Toggle SSL expiry tracking on/off |
| Warning threshold | 14 days | Alert when certificate expires within this many days (1–90) |
What gets tracked
- Subject — the domain the certificate covers
- Issuer — the Certificate Authority (Let's Encrypt, DigiCert, etc.)
- Valid from / expires — the certificate validity period
- Days left — countdown displayed in the monitors list
SSL status is shown inline in the HTTP monitors list as a day count. Expired certificates show in red.
If you use a CDN or load balancer that terminates SSL, make sure you're checking the endpoint that serves your actual certificate — not a CDN edge node that uses its own cert.
