Port & Network Monitoring
Monitor TCP ports and DNS records to make sure your databases, mail servers, caches, and other network services are reachable.
Network monitors check TCP port connectivity and DNS resolution with response time tracking.
TCP port checks
Verify that a specific port is open and accepting connections. Common use cases:
| Service | Host | Port |
|---|---|---|
| Redis | redis.example.com | 6379 |
| PostgreSQL | db.example.com | 5432 |
| MySQL | db.example.com | 3306 |
| MongoDB | mongo.example.com | 27017 |
| Elasticsearch | es.example.com | 9200 |
| SMTP | mail.example.com | 587 |
| SSH | bastion.example.com | 22 |
| RabbitMQ | mq.example.com | 5672 |
DNS checks
Verify that DNS records resolve correctly. WatchCron queries the specified nameserver and alerts you if the record is missing or returns an unexpected value.
Port and DNS monitors are unlimited and do not count against your plan's check limit. Add as many as you need.
